Horace has had a long distinguished career in the landscaping industry in Worcester.

He was the Head Grounds Superintendent at Saint Vincent’s Hospital for 31 years, where they won many awards for the Professional Grounds Management Society for the beautiful work that w done caring for the landscaping on the hospital grounds.  Horace continued with Fallon Clinic when they took over and was responsible for the grounds maintenance at all of their sites.

After retiring from there, he started doing Landscape Design at Shrewsbury Nursery for over 10 years.

When they closed Horace came to work for Sunshine Landscaping and works here when he is not golfing or down in Florida.

Steve is a 1977 Honors Graduate from the University of Massachusetts, with a major in Turf Management and Agronomy and has been a Massachusetts Certified Landscape Professional and Horticulturist since 1984. He has been active in the leadership of the Green Industry, highlighted by his term as the President of the Associated Landscape Contractors of Massachusetts in 1992-93.  Steve and his team at Sunshine Landscaping have recently been involved in restoring the Great Lawn at the Tower Hill Botanic Garden.

Steve has been a member of the Worcester Executive Association since 1990; was voted the WEA Executive of the Year in 1993 and was the President of the WEA in 1996.  He has also received many awards for his leadership and 25 years of service to the Trail Community, and was recognized as the “Appie of the Year” by the Worcester Chapter of the Appalachian Mountain Club for his volunteer leadership of the ongoing reconstruction work on the Pine Hill Trail at Wachusett Mountain State Reservation.  As well as being a long time High School Soccer and Basketball Referee.

Steve’s decades of field experience and certification training have made him a passionate educator, sharing his Horticulture knowledge about lawn care, landscaping, shrubs and pest control topics, based on his world class skills as a field technician and landscape manger.

Since 1974, Timothy J. Harrington, CPA has provided all of his clients with the highest quality of professional services. Mr. Harrington earned an MBA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA and a B.A. Degree in Accounting & Economics from Holy Cross. Mr. Harrington began his career as a staff accountant for Touche Ross & Co., CPAs in Worcester, MA. He then became a partner in three accounting firms in the Holden/Worcester area. In 2005 Mr. Harrington opened his own firm Timothy J. Harrington CPA, now located in West Boylston, MA. At Harrington CPA, the firm’s concentration is on advisory services, tax preparation, compilation and review of financial statements, wealth management and financial planning. His extensive experience and capable staff provide outstanding professional accounting services.

 

New Meeting Location!

New Meeting Location!

The WEA is moving to a new meeting location starting Monday July 20th!

Mezcal Tequila Cantina on 30 Major Taylor Blvd in downtown Worcester will be the WEA’s new location for our weekly Monday luncheon. Validated parking will continue to be in the Major Taylor parking garage above the restaurant.

The meetings begin at 11:45 noon and end at 1:30 p.m. The meeting room is usually available beginning at 11:30 for additional networking and member one-on-ones.

The WEA is a non-political, non-partisan, non-sectarian, and non-competitive among its membership as set out in its charter and the by-laws.

 

Attendance by non-members is by invitation only.

Our Mission

To provide a means for Worcester Executives Association (WEA) members to exchange business information through:

The Worcester Executives Association encourages members to work cooperatively to increase the efficiency and profitability of each business in the association.

Where are Meetings Held?

The regular WEA meetings are held at Hilton Garden Inn in Worcester MA. The meetings formats vary from week to week but usually include lunch, sharing business leads and a member classification talk. In order to attend a meeting as a guest, you must first be approved by the President.
